Commercial Photography – Springfield, MA
This fall I was contacted to take some pictures of a trailer… okay, I thought, why not, should be interesting to say the least. It really was a cool trailer! Come to find out, it wasn’t just a trailer, it was an emergency response trailer used by cable operators to deliver generators that sit up on telephone poles to keep the cable system up and running… here are some shots from that session. What a fun shoot, and what makes it really special is that it was for my niece Danielle (she’s the one on the right). Her sister got in on the act and mom too, and I think the series came out really great! There were a few challenges with this session, the biggest being that we were shooting at the beach. Timing is everything when it comes to the beach. We had to get down there with just enough light left in the day, but not too much, but also, not too little! Always an awesome time shooting this family and I was fortunate enough to do her Senior shoot before she heads off to college! This is my favorite of the bunch, and I’m glad it’s one she picked for this preview! Love this shot too, check out her reflection on the car! Now for the real fun stuff, when her brother and sister came in for some pics… almost too much clowning around, but we managed to get some really great shots… You can go ANYWHERE to get your Senior pictures done, not just at the photographer at the school you are going to. With our crazy busy schedule running our daughter to Lacrosse tournaments, I really haven’t had many opportunities to work with many families this fall and I really miss it! Here are a few from a recent session that I really love, especially like when I can be creative and have some fun with Photoshop… The bummer is that now that Hurricane Sandy has gone thru, all the pretty leaves will be on the ground instead of on the trees :(. Still, there are many opportunities for great shots this November!!

I travel quite a bit to take pictures for folks. Included in my bag of tricks is my portable green-screen (which is reversible, with blue on the back). This makes it easy for me to do head shots and not have to worry about carting around a ton of backdrops or worrying if someone is wearing blue (or green) and having them disappear when I use my green screen software to apply various backgrounds.
