This was a really fun shoot – we did it over at Graziano Gardens in East Longmeadow, MA… didn’t know what the weather was going to be like (it was kind of cold and windy), so we went in doors, and the garden center and the beautiful Christmas decorations were the perfect backdrop for some awesome shots.

One of my favorite locations for shooting is Wilbraham & Monson Academy. This shoot was no exception. They have so many great places to use as a back drop! And, let’s not forget about the walls! They sprawl all over the campus and make for excellent spots for portraits. Even the little bridge provided a fun spot for something a little different…

This was such a fun family to shoot this year. I’m good friends with the parents (we always have such a good time, especially if it has anything to do with food, wine, or both!). We managed to find some santa hats – it really made these pictures fun and festive! They have such a beautifully decorated home, it was so easy to find places inside the house to shoot… here are three for a black & white series…

Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to have a little luck… no exception for this photo shoot! Literally minutes from the shoot it RAINED like CRAZY! It was coming down sideways and the wind was just amazing… Then, the rain stopped, the clouds parted and here’s what we got: Even the dog cooperated! Camera: Nikon D700 Lens: Nikon 35-70mm f/2.8D
